RWU Impact Story: Louis Simpson
From Resume Refresh to a New Career Opportunity
Through the RWU Employability Lab, we had the opportunity to support Louis Simpson with a complimentary CV revamp.
Our goal was simple: help him present his experience, skills, and professional value with greater clarity and confidence.
A short time later, we checked in to see how his job search was going. Louis shared the exciting news that his updated resume helped him move forward into a new career opportunity with the FBI.
In his words:
“The resume was awesome my guy! I landed a FBI job which I should be starting the 6th of next month.”
For us, this is impact.
Sometimes, the right guidance, encouragement, and career support can help open the door to the next opportunity. Louis’s story is a reminder that when people are equipped with the right tools, they can step into their future with confidence.

110 Neighbors Served. 25 Small Businesses Supported. One Care Collective in Action!
Raleigh With Us exemplified our mission, serving our community with care, coordination, and purpose. Through our Care Collective event, we brought volunteers and community members together to support residents, workers, and small business owners facing everyday costs. In response to a need shared by Project Access, we turned community concern into tangible action by providing essential supplies and creating a space where neighbors felt seen, supported, and connected.
Through our Care Collective drive, we provided household and work-related supplies to approximately 110 people, including 25 small business owners. Many of the supported residents and workers rely on cleaning and household supplies for their homes, jobs, and small businesses. In a tough economy, these everyday essentials can add up quickly. By helping reduce those costs, this drive helped families and workers keep more money in their pockets.
Beyond the supplies, this event strengthened community engagement by bringing residents, partners, volunteers, and local leaders together around a shared purpose: caring for our neighbors and supporting the people who help keep our community moving. Thank you to everyone who helped us make this possible!
RWU Impact Story: Buzi_AI
Amplifying Local Innovation and Entrepreneurial Growth
Through our Community Spotlight initiative, RWU featured Buzi_AI, founded by Chibuzo Anyakora, to celebrate a local business using innovation to help entrepreneurs build smarter and more sustainable businesses.
RWU chose to spotlight Buzi_AI because its work reflects the values we believe in: opportunity, education, innovation, and community impact. Buzi_AI supports entrepreneurs and small business owners by combining business consulting with AI-powered tools that help improve operations, strengthen systems, and support long-term growth.
For many small businesses, visibility can be just as important as access to resources. Through the Community Spotlight, RWU created space for Buzi_AI to share its story with a growing network of residents, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community partners.
This spotlight was not just about promoting a business. It was about introducing the community to a founder and organization helping shape Raleigh’s future through technology, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial support.
Stories like Buzi_AI’s matter because they show what is possible when local businesses are given room to grow. When entrepreneurs are connected to the right audience, they can build relationships, inspire others, create new opportunities, and contribute to a stronger local economy.

How RWU Helped Joseph Transition into Corporate America
Joseph always dreamed of a thriving career in corporate America, but transitioning into this fast-paced and structured environment felt overwhelming. Like many, he faced challenges in navigating the cultural norms, organizational systems, and expectations of the corporate world. That’s when Joseph discovered Raleigh With Us (RWU).
RWU became a guiding light in his journey, offering a comprehensive support system that included mentorship, skill development, and empowerment.
